Cape Town, November, 30, 2023 - As the year draws to a close and we enter the Festive Season, employees from PepsiCo South Africa joined FoodForward South Africa to pack 24 000 meals for those in need.

The event in Landsdowne, Cape Town was part of a global PepsiCo Foundation campaign bringing PepsiCo employees from across the United States, South Africa, the UK, Spain, Mexico, and Australia, and their partner organisations together with a shared goal of giving back by addressing food insecurity during the holiday season. 

The meal packing event not only brought members of the PepsiCo family together, but most importantly, it will help bring joy, create smiles, and provide critical nutrition for communities during the Holiday Season.  

In South Africa, 11,6% of households reported experiencing hunger and this period can be particularly challenging for families experiencing food insecurity, with added financial burdens. With PepsiCo’s unique position in the food system, the company is committed to driving positive change in the communities where it operates.
